It has been a long time since the last updates on Mikey's blog.


Mikey was accepted into the Terrigal Aspect Base School as a full time kindergarten student :D

He is enjoying school very much and doing really well with the daily routines.
He always crashes out on the way home from school, or sometimes during the last hour while at school but is doing great at completing his sheet work and is showing his wonderful creativity when using playdoh or construction toys.

His teachers are Kate, Fal and Chris. Three wonderful teachers who he is learning to love. Fal is his favourite and the last few days he's run to Kate who greets him at the gate each morning.

Mikey has begun toilet timing at school and we bought him some great new ben 10 and Rio undies for him to wear.
At home Mikey is happy to sit on the toilet or stand up, but hasn't quite figured out what the sensation is which causes him to wee or poo...
He has done a wee on the toilet at school twice last friday... and he was about as surprised as his teachers were, and unfortunately the sensation hasn't translated through yet... but he'll get there with continued practise.

It's bizare really that such a big boy, who will be 5yo soon, still hasn't really got the awareness to identify his bodies movements... I actually think Zoe will be toilet trained before Mikey as she's showing some signs of being aware now... but thats just a random thought and not really realistic.... you never know though... her mummy was TT at 15 months. LOL

I may update more as tonight is the parent teacher night at Mikey's school.

but for now... priority one is toilet training... and then next step is the dummy.
