New Obsessions...

Mikey is now obsessed with the bubble machine and the wedgits.

but thats ok :D

Adam is playing with the wedgits with Mikey as we speak and most of the day he settles when i bring it down.

The bubble machine provides a great deal of fun for Mikey and Annabelle together as they chase the bubbles and pop them... i wish there was a setting for speed though because it puts alot of bubbles in the air - too many maybe?
i do have ideas for photography though using it so it was well worth it's $30 purchase.

The Wedgits are the first of many educational toys that i hope to emmerse mikey in to encourage his cognitive skills - i think thats the word i'm looking for...
i am looking forward to the stix and balls objects and the other connecting things.

I have found that playdough is very successful, but hard to moderate because he just gets so involved and excited with it that it creates more of a hassle than it's worth... however it is very good for his muscle tone so i will bring it out only occaisionally for the whole day for him to play with it, and then take it away for another week or so...and just hope that 'out of sight out of mind' overrides his incredible memory and persistant insistance.

speaking of persistant insistance.... Mikey has learnt to say 'Mikeys Turn'... its very cute and very frustrating all at the same time.
but it mostly applies to prayers... Mikey will watch as me or adam says the prayer whatever it be... and then mikey will announce that it is his turn, and then proceeds to pray in gibberish - Amen! lol
