Sick boy

Mikey has gotten the virus that his beautiful little Sister Belle brought home from preschool and he now has a fever and has had a little bit of a vomit but mainly has a congested croup like cough and sniffly nose...

Because of this virus, i didn't want to take mikey to his occupational therapy as there are alot of toys and implements used and it could be passed on.

so i called Coralie and we discussed this weeks therapy for me to conduct at home and this week we are focussing on the body. Playing games and conducting fun activities that help mikey to learn about his body and where it is.

Georgina, a friend of mine, gave mikey a human body poster for his 3rd birthday last year so that will be placed somewhere where he sees it a bit more like behind the couch downstairs...
and i'll get the flash cards out which pertain to the body and we'll use those in a game.... and also some songs and actions.

The brushing technique seems to have helped massively and Mikey has begun talking. He resists most of the brushing technique, but enjoys the brushing on the palms of his hands which is not acutally part of the routine technique... but he enjoys it so we do it aswell.
