new bed...

Today we assembled the bunk beds that Mikey's lovely Nanna and Grandad donated to us as they're upgrading their spare room from a kiddies room to a sofa bed room :D

We assembled Belle's bed first.... after it was in her room and ready for her to sleep in, i asked mikey to come and look. he was being teritorial and laying in his bed, earlier had had gotten very upset that i had put belle's mattress on top of his bed while i moved the frame into her room.... so he was laying in bed sooking it up and after a bit of reluctance came in to see the super cool new wooden bed in bellie's room.

OHHHH WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH mikey said as he realised how very cool it was compared to his black tubular bed... i asked him if he wanted one the same and he said yes and off he went to strip the sheets of his own bed in eager anticipation.

so we assembled the bed, moved the black one out and the wooden top bunk (its one that can be seperated) into the same place of his old bed.
ahhhhhh but apparently he had decided it wasn't good enough. hahaha

oh dear. but he came around after me repeating - too bad matey thats your new bed - and trying to convince him just how very cool it was.

While the kids napped - which was almost immediately, i guess they wanted to give their beds a test run. LOL, - i moved the black bed up into the baby's room as a spare bed and when zoe reaches age she'll move into that bed.
Mikey saw his old bed in there later on and was telling me to pack it away. haha. his words for put it back where it was i suppose... but i encouraged him to know that he could sleep there too if he wanted - mikey is very good when it comes to sharing bedrooms with babies - he used to share with bellie alot so he understands some level of being quiet and if he does sleep ther it would be only sporadically.

But at the end of the day he was fine with it and was more than happy to go back to his bedroom and snooze a bit more :D

I felt a bit of happiness today when i got to have a chat with my friend Lex who is now home from hospital and facing life as it stands without her son. I was so glad to hear the humour in her voice and the hope that she seemed to have that things will one day get easier, and the gratitude for peoples efforts to show their love to her and nathan.

I also had my hair cut today - last night my lovely friend Laurie blonded my hair for me and today gave me a little cut to thin my hair out and cut the split ends off. so i feel fresher and happier with my own look too now.



Mikey is about due to head to bed so off i go to start the evening fuss. :)
